Just a musing that floated up from the recesses of the old brain. I recall after Hurricane Andrew how good it felt just to get a newspaper delivery. Everything was wiped away and we had no lights or water and every tree in the back yard was blown down. Still, there was the paper, lying on the walk in its plastic bag. It was such an uplifting feeling - something in the city still worked the way it was supposed to.
Can you imagine how much more hopeful a feeling for New Orleans that their team gave them the immense gift of a Super Bowl win! Way to go!!!

My heart always sinks when I see the faces of the team who loses. It was great day for the folks of New Orleans. Many people celebrated on the streets of Miami. As for me.....had to go to sleep so I could get up early and go to work.
I think the City of N. O. will just segue from Super Bowl celebrations straight into Mardi Gras. That's the game plan, I guar-on-tee you me!

It took me a minute to figure out the headphones were sound protection for little ears and not a radio or other device. For under a year old, he sure did leave them in place, didn't he. Mine would've had them off and thrown then on the ground twice by now. Kinda like Grandmama Stapleton's eye glasses by a sister who shall remain unnamed!
Some things should be ignored by loved ones. 'Course Stapleton Mama forgave me when she received replacement glasses from Mom & Dad. You'd think after raising 12 children she'd have known better than to tempt an *innocent* little child in that manner. Heh.
Hey, I never name names! Or, if I do I change them to protect the innocent. Or nearly innocent. Okay, the guilty but beloved family members on whom a story may (or may not) be proved true. There's always a little wiggle room somewhere in there. We all may need it!
